I'm catching up on some reading from August. A report in the Wall Street Journal on August 28, 2008, catches my attention. Emily Steel and Suzanne Vranica write about the McCain campaign's purchase of search terms to trigger McCain ads. When you search "Joe Biden" with Google the top sponsored links leads to www.JohnMcCain.com. The McCain team also has outbid the Democrats for key issue terms such as "U.S. Economy" and "housing crisis."
